Why did you become an author?
The funny thing is, I never actually wanted to be an author. My original plan was to write one single book (King Boogie) and then retire to pursue other endeavors. Life is funny though, and I quickly realized that there is a big need for positive stories in this world, so I just kept going.
What makes your books different?
I believe wholeheartedly that the world needs positive and uplifting stories now more than ever.
Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, or whatever you’ve been through — I want people to know that they aren’t alone and are meant to live incredible lives doing wonderful things.
Friendship, acceptance, adoption, loss, belonging, disablities, emotional regulation, purpose self-confidence, etc. — these stories were written for you!
Besides, what better gift could you give someone than a little bit of joy?
How do I get your books in my school/library/church?
Nothing makes me happier than seeing these stories in the hands of the kids and grownups who need them most, so please reach out if you know of any needs in your community. I’m always happy to help!
